Each year, honorees from across the nation are invited to Washington, DC, to participate in a series of events designed to celebrate their work and inspire them to continue driving positive change for children in need. The program also provides a platform for these advocates to share their experiences with Members of Congress, raising awareness about the issues that impact children and families across the country.

As an honoree, Friends of RI CASA joins an illustrious group of past honorees who have made significant national contributions, including Muhammad Ali, Kristin Chenoweth, Al Roker, Shonda Rhimes, and many more. It is an incredible honor to be recognized among these advocates, and we look forward to sharing our ongoing mission to provide children in the Rhode Island Family Court system with a voice through our court-appointed special advocates (CASA).

This nomination wouldn’t be possible without the support of our volunteers, sponsors, and community partners who work tirelessly to ensure that children have safe, nurturing, and permanent homes.
