Brewing Community, One Cup at a Time

At CASA, we believe in the power of community and the importance of open dialogue. That’s why we’re excited to invite everyone—current CASAs, CASA volunteers in training, and anyone curious about CASA—to our casual and friendly CASA and Coffee Sessions!

Our CASA and Coffee sessions are designed to bring people together over a cup of joe and some delectable pastries. It’s an opportunity to relax, unwind, and engage in meaningful conversations about CASA and the incredible work our volunteers do.

Who Can Join?

These events are open to everyone, regardless of whether you’re a seasoned CASA with years of experience or someone just starting to learn about the program. We welcome you with open arms and a warm cup of coffee!

CASA Attorney Alex Terry meets with one of our dedicated volunteers at a VCASA Coffee Session in December. The coffee sessions are a great opportunity for volunteers to discuss their cases and to gain more knowledge on the best ways to advocate for the children on their caseload.

What to Expect!

Here’s what you can look forward to at our CASA and Coffee sessions:

1. Discover CASA’s Impact:

Learn more about the CASA program and gain insights into the critical work that our dedicated volunteers undertake. Discover firsthand how CASA volunteers become the voice for abused and neglected children in the legal system.

2. Network and Connect:

One of the highlights of our CASA and Coffee sessions is the opportunity to mingle with fellow CASA volunteers and our supportive staff members. Build connections, share stories, and make new friends who share your commitment to making a difference.

3. Seek Guidance and Support:

Whether you’re a seasoned CASA looking to share your experiences or someone new to the program seeking advice, these sessions provide a supportive environment where you can ask questions, seek guidance, and receive encouragement from fellow CASAs.

4. Dive Into the Volunteer Process:

If you have questions about the CASA volunteer process, this is the perfect time to ask. Our team will be there to provide answers, explain the steps, and help you get started on your journey as a CASA volunteer.

RSVP and Join the Conversation!

If you plan to attend, please RSVP by the Monday prior to each session! You can RSVP by Email: kpoli@courts.ri.gov or by phone (401)-458-5031.

We can’t wait to sip coffee, enjoy pastries, and share meaningful conversations with you. Join us at CASA and Coffee, and let’s continue our mission to create brighter futures for abused and neglected children together.

Remember, your presence can make a significant impact. See you at the next CASA and Coffee session!
